Aseefa is the executive director of Across Boundaries: An Ethnoracial Mental Health Centre which is a unique organization that provides equitable, inclusive and holistic mental health and addiction services for racialized communities, and operates within an anti-racism/anti-oppression framework. Aseefa has been working in the field of mental health for the past 16 years and her experiences and interests range from working to address needs of racialized communities, including youth, those in the criminal justice system, and family members as well as working to affect systemic policy change through various partnerships in the community, research and advocacy. Conflict mediation is of special interest to her and she likes volunteering her time to mediate workplace and individual conflicts.
